Sorry for the lack of posting… life has been busy! I’ll be attending an Indian wedding this Friday and Saturday (festivities started this afternoon!) and will report back with lots of great pics I hope!

If you’re in the Vancouver area do try and make the Car Free Fest on Sunday! I’ll be heading over to the Main St. Fair but there will be others around the city with live music, lots of street vendors, and activities for the kiddoes. The first Bite Size Got Craft will also be happening at Little Mountain Studios.

If you happen to be in Richmond on Sunday afternoon and fancy picking up some limited edition super cute t-shirts, then head over to the Comet Strip…

In Vancouver and not sure what to do with yourself on the upcoming weekends? Well, here’s some help!


April 18th Saturday 11am-3pm
RE-USE ME - Metropolis/Metrotown will be hosting this event for Earth Day. I’ll be there with some demos for re-usable coffee cup sleeves from felted sweaters (which reminds me… gotta prep for that!) along with a handful of other local artists who will be showing people how to re-use and up-cycle common household items.


April 19th Sunday 11am-4pm
SWAP-O-RAMA-RAMA – This looks like a very promising event! The swap will be hosted by the Vancouver Craft Mafia and Lotus Events at Heritage Hall. Bring a bag of unwanted clothes plus $6. There will be stations for you to alter your new finds in whichever way you want. Fun times! All remaining clothing will be donated.

April 26th Sunday 11am-6pm
BLIM COMMUNITY MARKET – A fair for every heart’s desire. Blim holds a fair every last Sunday of the month at the Cambrian Hall (Main and 17th).


May 2nd Saturday 10am-5pm
GIRL GUIDES YARD SALE – If you’re interested in yard sales, your local Girl Guides will be hosting one on 55th Avenue just East of Main St. Lots of treasures! All proceeds will go towards funding Girl Guides programs.


May 3rd Sunday 11am- 5pm
GOT CRAFT? – *THE* craft fair to go to. Seriously. I’ll be there. hint hint. Got Craft? will feature 50 local vendors with wares ranging from handmade soap, purses, jewelry, clothes, and porcelain bunny head pendants (among a gamut of other wonders). The first 30 attendees will receive the much coveted swag bag full of goodies. This will be a great place to pick up a present for you mom (Mother’s Day is May10th!)

Goodness me oh my am I ever tired!

Just got back from the Etsy Spring Fling not too long ago… I was going to post about my giveaway, but I think that’ll have to wait until tomorrow cuz I’m going to post some pics from today :)

Here’s my set up…I’m digging Davie and Chiyo’s balloons. Very cheery!



Some of my wares… I never remember to take pics of my owl onesies so I thought I should do that. They always make people exclaim, “I wish I knew a baby so I could buy this for them!” Hehe.



It’s the lovely Miranda of Hudsonny and her good friend Kim from MilkyBeer. Man, I should have gotten one of those gnomes… trouble is I don’t have enough room for all the stuff I already have :( One day, I shall have room enough for a little gnome army! lol. They’ll multiply right? :D



It’s Chris from A Cagey Bee! I met her briefly at the last Etsy fair, but this time we actually had a chance to chat it up. :)



Wherever there is a crafty something going on, you shall most definitely run into the duo of Got Craft? fame, Rob and Andrea!

OK, so when I have the room for the gnome army, I’m also going to get them little gardens in glass jars. Thryza (pronounced like Thursday, but just “ah” instead of “day” ^__^) had the COOLEST terrariums full of moss and succulents and fantastic little polymer creatures!



Here’s Alison (that’s your name right?! :D lol) from District Thirty admiring the greenery. I don’t think she’s giving me the finger, I think she’s just trying not to lose her cupcake. Hehee.

Whimsical Wednesdays seems to be getting neglected! A full and public apology to Whimsical Wednesdays for not paying more attention to you these few weeks. I swear I always had you on my mind, I just didn’t have time to show you! *tear* *tear*

What is it about gnomes that has the hordes loving them? Is it their cute little pointed hats? Squinty little eyes? Short little legs ending in cute little boots? Gnomes… not sure what it is, but I find them simply fascinating!
