crafty cupid valentine’s exchange

February18

So a few weeks ago I stumbled on a blog called “nik @ noon” and the lovely Nikki was organizing a Crafty Valentine’s Exchange. I thought, “Ooooh, I love mail and sending surprises!” so I decided to join in on the crafty swappy Valentiney fun.

I got my V-day surprise today from Cali! Wootwoot. I love seeing that red postal truck outside my house, it’s always something good. Check out the cute labels on the box. Gotta love cute labels.

AND POMPOMS! A great pompom always starts the day off right.

And here’s what was inside:

A cute pink skinny scarf… is it mohair? I’m not sure… but it’s nice and soft. There were also two poppy bobby-pins which coincidentally, I had been thinking of learning how to make! Yay, saves me the trouble! ;) And of course, some bookplates! I LOVE BOOKPLATES. I’m not sure why, but they make me really happy. It’s not even like I lend my books out to anyone… but I want to know that they’re mine!

Fun right? So I checked out Raechel’s blog and found her Etsy shop where she has these awesome moustache tees:

genius!

Thanks to Raechel for a lovely Valentine’s gift and card (that dude totally looks like Dave Grohl)! :D

Yay, Rita! I am so glad you got to participate :) Raechel is a dear friend of mine here in CA, and she crafts such adorable things, a great inspiration to me! I will be in touch through blogging and Etsy! Happy crafting! Love, Nikki

    Rita-

yay! I am soooo excited that you like your little gift! The scarf is 30% mohair and 70% ULL ( which from what I gather is merino wool). It is from Norway and I believe ULL must be a nickname for merino wool! Anways, you’ve been bookmarked now and I am excited to start reading your blog. I have a thing about blogs…you can read up on my “blog porn addicition” as I call it!

    Cheers-

    Raechel
